Take the NextStep in Your Motorsport Journey!
The Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Car Club is proud to launch the NextSteps Program – a one-off initiative designed to break down barriers and support members in advancing their motorsport involvement.
We are giving our 200+ club members the opportunity to be sponsored for up to $1,000, to get over that “one thing” and hit their motorsport goal in 2026!
How it works:
Up to $1k value support per person
No cash, the club pays suppliers directly
Online applications / sponsorship proposals between 1st & 31st October 2025
Recipients announced: December 2025
Next Steps taken: January to November 2026
Club members apply for sponsorship & tell us:
- What they’ve already done to meet their goal
- What support they need, supported by quotes / links for those things
- What they’ll give back to the club & motorsport in return

🏅 Value for support
Like any sponsorship, the club wants to get the best value from the support it provides. Applicants must describe what they will commit to, in exchange for sponsorship support, in the areas of promotion and / or volunteering contributions to the club and/or motorsport in 2026.
Applicants are encouraged to submit creative ideas for representing the club positively and promoting motorsport within the wider community. Things like:
- Organising a group presence or team entry at other club events
- Displaying club gazebos, banners, signage, merchandise or stickers at an event
- Displaying your pride and joy, with club merch, at car shows, school fetes or community festivals
- Volunteering to lead a project that makes the club’s events even better
- Sharing experiences at club nights or running “how to” workshops
🌟 Why? We want to:
- Reduce financial and non-financial barriers for new and novice competitors
- Support club members to build skills, experience, and confidence
- Recognise and reward contributions to our club and motorsport
- Strengthen our club’s culture and community visibility
- Provide a transparent, clear and consistent assessment process for sponsoring club members.

📝 How are applications going to be assessed?
- All properly completed applications will be assessed by the GCTMC NextSteps panel against consistent, pre-endorsed criteria.
- The panel may request further information, determine eligibility, and decide whether to recommend all, some, or none of the requested items.
- Applications will be ranked, independently reviewed for fairness. Final approval rests with the club committee, whose decisions are final.
- Successful applicants will be notified within ~8 weeks by email with an Offer Letter, which must be signed before sponsorship support is provided.

- Applications open online – 1 October 2025 GCTMC NextSteps Application Form
- Applications close – 31 October 2025
*It is recommend starting your application well prior. To ensure fairness for applications made on time, there will be no extensions granted. - Successful Recipients notified – By 20 December 2025
- Sponsorship support provided – January to November 2026, depending on the timing of the event/goal
- Recipient reports/photos due to the club – By December 2026
